Lineage II August 16th House of Commons Chat
Ishu - Good evening and welcome to
another great Stratics House of Commons chat, tonight our guests are the
developers of Lineage2! The
topic of discussion is general.
Ishu - Please send your questions to

Ishu - We'll start with a brief
introduction from the developers, now would be a good time to send those
questions.
[NC]Rust - Heya folks. My name's Adam
Davidson and I'm the new producer for Lineage II in North America. I've been
with the project
since before the beta process and would say I'm quite comfortable working with
the folks you already know and love here with the L2
team. I've been in videogames for around 7 years now and with multiple
projects/companies. I'm also lousy at introductions,
particularly my own, so I'll leave off here and say welcome to the Line

[NC]Ornery - Hello I'm Ornery, and I'm
the new Associate Producer for Lineage II. I've also been with the team since
before beta doing
QA.
[NC]Tisirin - Howdy, folks. It's nice
to be back. I'm Tisirin, the Community Relations manager at NCsoft. I manage
the community
relations teams for our various games.
[NC]spam - Hi my name is spam. I am the
Customer Service lead for Lineage II.
[NC]Sarge - Hey y'all, I'm Sarge, I'm
the Online Community Relations Manager. Many of y'all have met me on the
boards.
[NC]Mistryl - Hi everyone! I'm Mistryl,
the Content Writer/Editor for the Lineage II web site.

Lineage II. Been here since the beginning as well...
Ishu - *N3ur0* Will S Grade weapons and
armor be included in Chronicle 4?
[NC]Rust - Yes, S-Grade items will be
included in the upcoming Chronicle.
Ishu - *Wae* After the move to a new
office and some change in personnel, would you NOW be at liberty to inform us
what further
updates, data sharing, etc. you will be providing for the community and how
you will encourage community participation (by individual
players or by fansites).
[NC]Tisirin - The move to the new office
was pretty crazy. :) We are continuing to put as much information up on our
site as possible
and working to give community sites information and data that they will find
helpful and useful. Typically, we would like for
community sites to come talk to us about what they'd like to do and then see
what we can do to faciliate. The Lineage II community
sites are a very high priority for us.
Ishu - *Biggi-Erica* Can we look forward
to any new types of events coming up? Or are we waiting for new content from
Korea?
[NC]Rust - We are always looking into
new types of events and we definitely intend to bring some new things to the
table as we go
along. I'm not going to reveal too much, but we think you all will very much
enjoy what we have in the works.
Ishu *N3ur0* Do you guys have normal accounts with characters on them that we could be playing along side without even knowing it?
[NC]Sarge - Why, yes, if you looked
really hard, you could find me on right now. ;)
Ishu - *Venkman* What has been done
since the last HoC to increase communication with fan sites and help them
flurish?
[NC]Tisirin - Well, Dr. Venkman, we have
kept in close contact with as many community sites as we can, i.e. however many
will talk
back. :) We have also provided as much data as possible even as we try to
expand the information on our own site. Also, we have
started getting the community sites more involved around Chronicle releases,
helping them get information to write articles before
the Chronicle hits. Going forward, I want us to do even more.
Ishu - *Venkman* What new USA centered
events are in the works?
[NC]Rust - I told you... it's a secret.
Shhhhhhhh.
Ishu - *smashmethod* As is always asked,
do you have any new methods/drive to weed out illegitimate players of the game?
Such as
botters and ebaying/farming for real mooney.
[NC]spam - We are always improving our
methods of detecting cheaters in general. As bots improve, we also have to
improve. Many of
our methods we can not share because of obvious reasons.
Ishu - *Nisalir* When is c4 going to be
released?
[NC]Sarge - It's still too early for us
to have any details on Chronicle 4 release timeline
Ishu - *sweetchoch* NCKorea has been
running polls on their website seeing how their community feels about their
plans for Chronicle 4,
why doesn't NCNA do the same and convey our community's feelings to
NCKorea...or do you have no input on C4's development?
[NC]Tisirin - We take the pulse of the
community every day and we regularly communicate the reactions, wishes,
grumblings and issues of
the community to Korea. There have been changes made to the game based on
that feedback from the NA community.
Ishu - *sweetchoch* What is Rust and
Ornery's vision for Lineage II in North America and how do you plan on improving
Lineage II in
North America?
[NC]Rust - I'm actually going to drop by
the boards and post something to this effect when I have a few more ducks in a
row.
[NC]Ornery - I'll be doing the same.
Ishu - *Xanatos* What are NC NA plans
for trying to attract more players to the L2 World?
[NC]Rust - This is part of what I'll be
discussing on the forums relatively soon.
Ishu - *ChunCho* Will Chronicle 4 be
released in the same time (U.S and Korean) ? If no, why ?
[NC]Rust - No, it will not as we need to
localize quite a bit of content.
Ishu - *sweetchoch* From the
translations we've gotten from Korean Interviews, we learned that NCKorea will
be upgrading their server
architecture, will L2NA be getting server upgrades as well?
[NC]Ornery - In preperation for C4, we
do have plans to upgrade our server architecture in the coming months.
Ishu - *Xanatos* Can or will NC make a
server that is more NA friendly like NC did for Lineage 1 with the Lands of Aden
Server?
[NC]Sarge - Hmm, why don't you drop by
the boards and tell us what you think about that idea?
Ishu - *StormWeaver* Do you see in the
future anything being done with AFK shops blocking the flow of walkways in
towns?
[NC]spam - As it is now the GM's do
manually move AFK shops from tight areas (like giran stairs.) If you ever see
this problem please
report it and we will move people right away.
Ishu - *nive* What kind of steps are
necessary to accuse a player of botting and to ban their accounts? News of many
bannings without
petitions are popping up.
[NC]spam - We do not need a petition to
be sent for us to ban an account for botting. We activly hunt for bots and
remove them as we
see fit.
Ishu - That will wrap it up for tonight.
